IGNiTE 2016-18

IGNiTE was a talent development programme at Trinity that provided residencies and commissions to support early-career artists, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds. The initiative aimed to break down barriers to arts participation by offering funding, rehearsal space, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.

Through IGNiTE, artists had the freedom to experiment, develop new work, and engage with local communities. The program fostered innovative performances, installations, and cross-disciplinary collaborations, amplifying diverse voices and bringing fresh creative perspectives to Bristol’s cultural landscape. It also helped artists build sustainable careers by connecting them with industry networks and audiences.

The legacy of IGNITE continues through Trinity’s ongoing programming and commitment to artist support and community-led cultural programming.
