Bristol Samba is a community band that welcomes new and experienced drummers and dancers from all backgrounds and abilities. They hold regular weekly sessions and occasional workshops throughout the year. Even if you've never drummed or danced before, come and give it a try! Sessions are held on Mondays at Trinity 6pm - 10pm.

The Misfits Theatre Company would like to invite you to Rhythm of the Night.

So put on your dancing clothing on, be entertained and join us for a fun night at Trinity!

A great and fun way to meet new people and have a chat over a drink or two, along with some great music from our regular DJs to do some dancing and socialising.

Disco starts at 7.00pm

Please note that Trinity has a public pay and display car park that works with an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system. All visitors, including blue badges, need to purchase a ticket on arrival for the duration of their stay. There is a grace period of 10 minutes for people who need to drop off/pick up.

Payments can be made by card, via a smartphone app, online or cash on our existing P&D machines. Trinity receives all revenue from P&D parking which goes back into the charity and help us support groups and events like Misfits.

An Introduction to Dance for Parkinson’s

Two day training workshop

Dance for Parkinson’s Network UK and People Dancing in partnership with Bristol City Council, Fresh Arts, North Bristol NHS Trust and English National Ballet.

The course will provide participants with an insight into how to structure dance classes for people living with Parkinson’s, as well as focusing on the artistic imperative behind a Parkinson’s dance programme. Dance practitioners will also gain an overview of the effects of the condition on dance participants, learn how to ensure safety for all participants and benefit from the practical experience of devising and delivering content for a Dance for Parkinson’s class.

Course Leaders: Dr Sophia Hulbert and artists from English National Ballet.

Course participants must have successfully completed the Dance for Parkinson's On-Line Learning Programme assessment before taking part in the course. Access to the on-line learning programme is included in the course fee.

Cost: from £207 (on-line course cost included)

• Six subsidised places will be made available to Bristol based dance practitioners on a first come, first served basis. Please see the People Dancing website for further information.

The West of England Centre for Inclusive Living (WECIL) is holding monthly Creative Challenges at Trinity on the last Thursday of every month.

Creative Challenges are short creative tasks that help everyone become more creative! Each challenge is different, and helps you think of different ways to do something creative. We'll have a selection of challenges for people to choose from, and lots of different materials to use. You can make pictures using card, fabrics and glues, draw  in ink and pencils, and even write poetry!

Art, writing, discussing, making, drinking cups of tea and creating!

Free refreshments

No need to book, just pop-in!

If you love dancing, used to dance when you were younger, have always wanted to dance, or are drawn to performance, this company is for you! The focus will be on developing and expanding movement and dance skills, exploring different aspects of movement, and creating a dance performance based on members' ideas and experiences.

Two weekly session run

Mondays, 5.45pm - 7.15pm - Online (back soon at Trinity, Fyfe Hall)

Fridays, 12pm - 2pm - Main Hall

The company is led by Julia Thorneycroft.

Julia has many years experience of creating, directing and teaching dance in professional, community and academic contexts. She is Programme Leader for the Dance Foundation Degree,City of Bristol College, and has Artistic Director roles for Kinesis Youth Dance Company, and Julia Thorneycroft Young Dancers Company. Her performance company, Julia Thorneycroft Dance, creates accessible dance theatre that explores current social themes and human nature, engaging the core human emotions of its audience. She is committed to reaching out beyond traditional theatre space into outdoor festivals and rural touring.

If you're interested in having fun on roller-skates, then you have come to the right place!

Don't worry if you can't skate or don't have your own skates, we have got loads of skates available and our lovely Roller Boys & Girls will help you round if your a bit wobbly on your wheels... And if it all gets too much, then you can just chill out and get a large drink to get over the experience!

Expect a mixture of DJ's bringing you lots of energy and good sounds, with also live acts and entertainment to just complete your roller-disco night.

Tomorrow’s Warriors founder and artistic director, Gary Crosby OBE heads the Young Artist Development Programme with a fabulous team of inspirational music leaders – all active professional musicians developed through our programmes who can help young people discover what it’s like to be a real jazz musician.

We’re inviting young musicians to come along with instruments and take part in Tomorrow’s Warriors inspirational jazz workshop where they will enjoy:

Learning how to understand and express the language of Swing Exploring Jazz and its influence on music from the African Diaspora Skill building and community building in music - learning to come together Expressing life through music and Jazz Tomorrow’s Warriors monthly workshop sessions take place on Sundays at the Trinity Centre.

These workshops are completely free to join so there’s no need to worry about the cost!

Our sessions are open to all budding musicians: they don’t need exams but should have the desire to play jazz music, bring their own instruments (except for drums and keyboards which will be provided) and bags of enthusiasm.

The workshops and open jam session are followed by a performance featuring current Tomorrow’s Warriors’ young musicians, ending with a blues played by all the participants and Tomorrow’s Warriors.

The competition for all ages and abilities took place at Haven Golden Sands Holiday Park (Lincolnshire) from the 28th to the 30th March.

Hype smashed it even though they had 1 man down because of an injury and changed the mix 10 minutes before showtime! We are proud of all of you, coming back to Bristol with 37 trophies, so much talent from age 7 all the way to 17. You all have represented Hype Dance Company to the fullest, so well done!
