But it was his second album, Axis: Bold As Love that confirmed him as an artist of breathtaking musical ambition and originality. Recorded and released in late 1967, Axis: Bold As Love saw Jimi carry his guitar playing to new heights of eloquence. In honour of this landmark album's 50th anniversary, Jimi Hendrix: Slight Return take on the joyous challenge of performing Jimi's masterwork in full. With support from the Will Edmunds trio who'll play a set dedicated to Jimi's early blues influences.

Rolling Stone described her vocals as "raw and robust" with Tony Visconti stating "she sings so adroitly, she's very intelligent as a singer and there's nothing she can't do".

Jade’s chosen to record her debut album in Woodstock with celebrated producer Simone Felice.

She was born in Hexham, up near the Scottish border, then moved to London, then Germany, and then Wales. Not unusual for someone whose parents are both in the army, but after those parents split up it was the move from Germany to Wales with her mum that made the biggest impact on Jade.

With their live-instrumentation-meets-electronic merging of styles, the group were always broader than the ‘new UK jazz’ tag which they were often given, but here their scope and boundary-pushing ambition is more evident than ever before. Still maintaining a blend of spiritual jazz, dub, experimental and electronic soundscapes, here those elements are vigorously whipped-up into huge cyclones of sound, more song-based and accessible than before, but also almost psychedelic in its euphonic blend of colours, textures, facets and moods.

The hip hop group's momentum was put on hold in 2020, when Groggs tragically passed away. Their sophomore album, By The Time I Get To Phoenix, was largely completed with Groggs' contributions, before his passing. The title pays homage to a song that's been covered countless times, which aligns with the group's ethos and approach to creating music. Injury Reserve pull inspiration from several styles and eras of hip hop, running everything through their own lens, and putting a distinct and cohesive sound across their references.
