Venue levy: Trinity has introduced a £1 Restoration Levy on every event ticket sold. This income will be used to create a dedicated fund for critical building works that will protect and maintain the Trinity Centre building and grounds.

They have established themselves as one of country music’s most promising duos. With pristine vocals and a knack for writing clever yet relatable songs about looking for, finding and losing love, Dan + Shay bring a youthful sense of energy to country music. Their debut album, Where It All Began, harnesses that energy with 12 radio-ready tracks.

Damon Albarn is a master of smaller, independent, venues. His engaging style and warmth fills even the cosiest of venues, but you never get the feeling his ego or acoustic prowess will extend beyond the walls of this intimate, gothic, Bristol setting. This engagement did however extend into the consciousness of the audience that night, with everyone a riding high on a sense that the former Blur frontman will remember the evening as much as the punters as he blasted out Last Living Souls accompanied by his band, The Heavy Seas.

Next came the dedication of the Gorrilaz’s number Slow Country to Massive Attack which harked back to not only the venues status as the birthplace of the Bristol Sound, but also to alluring atmosphere that has drawn in the aforementioned trip-hop artists and The Prodigy amongst others. Securing these acts is a result of Trinity’s strong musical heritage, and the passion for the intimate, incognito, atmosphere that artists of the calibre of Damon Albarn obviously have.

His crowd pleasing encore involved an 8 strong gospel choir from East London, who supported 2 new songs; Mr Tembo and Heavy Seas of Love. But what got the crowd romping and jumping was a version of Gorillaz’s Clint Eastwood that featured Bristol-based paramedic K*Ners, who when he is not rescuing the sick, rescued the hip-hop sections of the song due to a last minute drop out of Damon’s preferred Snoop Dogg wannabe.

It was refreshing to see Albarn finish on the soporifically sombre - This is a Low, which was both the low note, and the high point, of this particular performance.

C.W Stoneking, a musician who draws influence from pre-war blues, jazz, 1920s calypso, folklore, and personal experience to produce his unique original songs. He accompanies himself with National Reso-Phonic guitar and tenor banjo, and with his amazing brass band the 'Primitive Horn Orchestra'. Stoneking's songs range in style from lonesome field holler blues, to hokum blues duets, to full blown jungle epics.

Visiting the Trinity Centre again we expect more elaborate stories in amongst his excellent music.

Formed in 2014, the group features vocalist Will Gould, guitarists Ian Miles and Oliver Burdett (who replaced Sina Nemati in 2015), bassist Sean Scott, drummer Dan Bratton and keyboardist Hannah Greenwood. Creeper released their self-titled debut extended play (EP) Creeper in 2014.

Formed through their mutual involvement in hardcore punk and post-hardcore groups in the Southampton area, Creeper are musically and stylistically influenced by fellow "goth punk" groups AFI and Tiger Army, as well as more traditional punk rock acts like The Bouncing Souls and glam rock artists such as David Bowie. The band's songwriting is typically led by Gould and Miles, although Nemati also co-wrote many of their early songs. Creeper have been hailed by numerous music critics as one of the best new rock bands since their formation.

Mr Dynamite, which was voted 2018 Album Of The Year by Electronic Sound Magazine, was recorded in Cornwall with a lifetime’s collection of drum machines and synthesisers assembled by Benge and explored by every member of Creep Show. There’s a real sense of freedom in the shackles-off grooves, channelling the early pioneering spirit of the Sugarhill Gang through wires and random electric noise.

Crazy P are an English electronic group heavily influenced by vintage disco, soul, and house music. While early releases such as their 1999 debut album A Nice Hot Bath With... were instrumental and sample-driven, they established a full band lineup with the addition of ebullient frontwoman Danielle Moore, who joined in time for 2002's The Wicked Is Music. The group continually refined their sound through their energetic live shows, as well as exceptionally focused full-lengths such as 2011's When We On and 2019's Age of the Ego, which displayed their skills at crafting both pop hooks and exploratory grooves.

Your favourite 90s band providing ear worms for decades are back, and they aren’t showing any signs of slowing down… The band celebrates 30 years since the release of their 3 times-Grammy nominated and platinum certified album “God Shuffled His Feet”. In 2018, The Crash Test Dummies hit the road for the first time in 20 years, with an Anniversary Tour that spanned North America.

The overwhelming reception led to a 30th Anniversary Tour in 2022 for their debut release “The Ghosts That Haunt Me” that touched down in the US, UK (including a London headline at the legendary Kentish Town Forum), Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Canada.

Murmuration Choir brings you another bespoke collaboration with an artist they hold in great esteem - Musician, Producer and Celebrator of Environmental sound, Cosmo Sheldrake. 

Cosmo returns to Bristol after a sell-out show in November, to indulge in a long-held love of working with voices. He has additional background in ethnomusicology, folk song and acapella harmony - running his own Brighton-based choir up until 2013, and training with the legendary Bobby McFerrin. He will draw upon Murmuration Choir to build on pieces from his acclaimed 2018 album 'The Much Much How How and I', and 2015 EP 'Pelicans We', and direct McFerrin-style, Circle-Song improvisations.

In under a year, Murmuration Choir has quickly become one of Bristol's most exciting vocal projects, bringing together 64 established singers, who share a passion for 21st-century innovators of popular music. Inspired by 6 Music DJs, their repertoire draws from Neo-Soul, Electronica, and Experimental Pop and is arranged into 8-part harmony, accompanied by beatboxer, Jack Salt. 

Supporting the evening will be Bristol-based artist and Murmuration director; Isolde, who will be performing a pre-release of her latest EP - 'Elements' - backed by a full band. Isolde's work also shares a love of found sound and creative music production, incorporating influences from artists such as Bjork, James Blake, Little Dragon and Tune-Yards.
