OSSIA feat. Rankin Snoopy
Peng Sound Records bossman, Ossia, is a militant purveyor of vinyl whether it be in the dancehall, via his various record labels, or his jointly run online record store; RwdFwd. His Peng Sound nights began in the infamous Take 5 Cafe on Stokes Croft, underground and grass-roots they (and of course the label) have always showcased artists and music that Ossia is 100% behind. Joined by Bristol Reggae don Rankin Snoopy (Unique Star), their debut set at Teachings is set to be packed full of dubplate gems and original deejay lyrical niceness!
ISHAN SOUND feat. Rider Shafique
His 2013 debut release on Peng Sound caught the attention of vinyl buyers around the globe, deep and dread with Ras Addis on vocals. Ishan has since had releases on the wonderful Zam Zam in the US, Pinch's world renowned Tectonic Recordings, not to mention his eight track double vinyl EP back on Peng earlier this year. Hard-hitting minimal dubwise is what we have come to expect from Ishan, his material has been strongly supported by fellow Peng Sound artists Dubkasm and Gorgon Sound and continues to tear up dances world wide. Although known for cutting dubplates Ishan has also recently launched his 'live' set where he dubs his material on the spot, spontaneous mixes in real time. This is what we have in store for us at the next chapter of Teachings and with the ever-conscious Rider Shafique joining him on the microphone we already know Ishan is going to come heavy like lead!
IRATION STEPPAS SOUNDSYSTEM
You know a sound system is top of the game when they run a special, and the whole crowd cheer at the first bar. The mighty Iration Steppas, an unstoppable force outta Leeds, have been tearing up dances for over 20 years now, and they definitely know how to shake the room. With Mark Iration at the I-trols, selection comes from the top draw each and every time. They get the perfect balance between lost gems, forward thinking dubwise and a whole heap of dubplates and specials. Their hard work and professionalism is very much to thank for the spread of reggae music and for pushing it forward to newer heights. They'll be joined by the mighty Danman on the mic always ready and prepared to chant down Babylon with his righteous Rastaman lyrical vibration. Running dubs inna year 3000 style into the night; if you didn't know by now, Iration Steppas are the general!

Electronic artist and drum & bass legend Netsky is set to bring his incredible live show back to the UK this winter alongside his full band and a host of very special guests. The exclusive five date run will see him play some of the UK’s major cities, kicking things off in Brighton on December 8th, stopping in Bristol, London and Manchester and finishing in Birmingham on December 12th.
Netsky’s rise up the ranks has been a sight to behold. He first made his name with Hospital Records in 2009 with a series of blistering releases including single ‘Memory Lane’ and his infamous self-titled debut album ‘Netsky’ , which propelled the talented young producer from Belgium into the premiere league. Starting out with an underground drum ‘n’ bass label like Chase & Status did before him, Hospital Records ended up being the perfect springboard for Boris Daenen to get to where he is today.

In the wake of Nitin Sawhney’s numerous Radio/TV appearances and a host of summer gigs/festival performances this year, the album release of “Dystopian Dream” builds on last year’s sell out preview show at The Royal Albert Hall with a full band promo tour.
Nitin Sawhney is one of the most distinctive and versatile musical voices around today. Firmly established as a world-class producer, songwriter, DJ, multi-instrumentalist, orchestral composer and cultural pioneer, Sawhney has become a latter-day Renaissance man in the worlds of music, film, videogames, dance and theatre.
Sawhney’s output as a musician is highly prolific. He has scored for and performed with many of the world’s leading orchestras, and collaborated with and written for the likes of Paul McCartney, Sting, The London Symphony Orchestra, A.R. Rahman, Brian Eno, Sinead O’Connor, Anoushka Shankar, Jeff Beck, Shakira, Will Young, Joss Stone, Taio Cruz, Ellie Goulding, Horace Andy, Cirque Du Soleil, Akram Khan, Deepa Mehta, Mira Nair, Nelson Mandela and John Hurt. Performing extensively around the world, he has achieved an international reputation across every possible creative medium.
Often appearing as Artist in Residence, Curator or Musical Director at international festivals, Sawhney works tirelessly for musical education, having acted as patron of the British Government’s Access-to-music programme, the East London Film festival and, currently, Artis as well as acting as a judge for The Ivor Novello Awards, BAFTA, BIFA and the PRS foundation. He is a recipient of 6 honorary doctorates from British universities, is a fellow of LIPA and the Southbank University, an Associate of Sadler’s Wells, sits on the board for London’s Somerset House and in 2007 turned down an OBE for ethical reasons.

Following his impassioned and rousing performance on the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury, Jack Savoretti announces a major UK tour this autumn, including a show at London’s Roundhouse October 15th.
With UK sales of his acclaimed album ‘Written In Scars’ approaching 50,000, 2015 has seen Jack Savoretti firmly establish himself as one of the country’s finest singer/ songwriters. His three singles taken from the album to date have all been playlisted at Radio 2, with new one, the title track, going straight on to the A list. Following on from his appearance on The One Show in June, Jack has further TV appearances confirmed for July, including BBC Breakfast, The John Bishop Show and Sunday Brunch.
After selling out his last tour including his biggest show to date at the Shepherds Bush Empire, Jack has a busy summer playing festivals which kicked off at Glastonbury, and finishes supporting Elbow On Blackheath September 12th.

The young British artist-producer releases Weathered, available to stream now, and to download from 6th July.
Weathered is the first single to be lifted from Jack’s forthcoming debut album, due for release in early 2016. Written, recorded, and co-produced by Jack, it follows the release of two acclaimed self-produced EPs (with both The Love You’re Given and Chemical from the Synesthesiac EP playlisted at Radio 1).
Weathered is the sound of the multi-instrumentalist shifting effortlessly through the gears. Everything heard is performed by Jack, with the song building its way towards an explosive crescendo.
Jack is also pleased to announce a series of UK dates for later this year, including a show at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire. These new dates follow a recent sold-out UK tour, which featured two nights at London’s Village Underground and two slots at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

Bella Union are excited to announce the long-awaited return of US alt-rock legends Mercury Rev whose new album The Light In You will be released 18th September via the label. The band have just unveiled a track from the LP entitled ‘The Queen Of Swans’, which is streaming HERE, and announced an extensive European tour, the dates of which are below.
As Mercury Rev began recording their eighth studio album in autumn 2013, when asked what people could expect, co-pilot Grasshopper responded, “Steel Resonator Mandolin. Timpani. Sleigh Bells. All sorts of electric guitars…..” He subsequently added, “It is the best stuff we have done in a long, long time. Gonna be big sounding!”
