Sam Fender - SOLD OUT
North Shields musician, Sam Fender is known for his guitar-led melodies coupled with observational and socially engaged lyrics. In 2017, Fender released his debut single, Play God, which was recorded in his garden shed and later mixed by Arctic Monkeys alumnus Barny Barnicott. Fender was awarded his first BRIT Award in 2018 before his debut album Hypersonic Missiles went straight to no. 1 in 2019.
In his latest album, Seventeen Going Under, Fender dissects issues of class and political polarity with a hard-edged punk rock sound. The album displays a far wider scope of sounds and styles than Hypersonic Missiles, with artistic growth demonstrated in the nuance and texture of the music.
