Ian Pooley, Sally C, Milly on Air b2b Gallegos
Putting the House in GLASSHOUSE - we present:
Ian Pooley, Sally C, Milly on Air b2b Gallegos + GH residents.
Come see this stellar House line-up featuring pioneers of the genre, household names and some of the best Bristol has to offer across the house spectrum. House legend Ian Pooley has been a DJ and producer since 1991 - it was the tasteful sounds of Chicago and Detroit that turned his ear. He has been a part of the underground music scene from almost the moment house music arrived in Europe, and has lift his identity on the sound, helping shape it ever since.
Whether via her DJ sets or label Big Saldo’s Chunkers, Sally C has developed one of the most distinctive sonic signatures in electronic music. The Belfast-born, Berlin-based artist traverses the gamut of vintage house, hip-house, acid and breakbeat, all with that unmistakable Chunker sound.
Moving to Berlin in 2015, she etched out a spot in the city’s thriving club scene, throwing parties at Griessmühle and her own open-air raves, all the while building a fanbase for her raw and chunky style. When she was tapped for her debut Boiler Room in 2019 at AVA Festival, it was a noticeable levelling up. No longer a developing talent, RA lauded her as a festival highlight, noting her “musical range and technical acuity”.
One of the highlights of Bristol's Stokes Croft Block Party, the upbeat b2b partnership of Milly on Air & Gallegos were so good, we just had to book them together as a b2b for round two only this time, in one of Bristol's long standing venues.
Both respected DJ's within their own right, each with years of record collecting and individual achievements of regular shows in Berlin's Panorama Bar & playing over the UKs most prolific venues & festivals - Milly & Gallegos have it all.
Please note this is a standing event, accessible seating is available.
