Seedling Sessions: celebrating women in music
This International Women's Day, we're spotlighting the powerhouse women shaping our local scene by bringing you a night of live music with Seedling Sessions.
From bold genre-blending innovators to vocalists whose harmonies hit straight to the soul, these rising stars are carving out their own lanes, and inviting you along for the journey. Expect fearless artistry, captivating performances, and energy that refuses to be ignored. This is more than a showcase, it’s a tribute to the women redefining what music can be.
Badliana is a Bristol-based artist crafting an unapologetically dark and alternative sound, where heavy, experimental beats collide with hauntingly sweet, seductive vocals. Drawing from grime, rap and alternative R&B, her music pushes against convention, balancing raw intensity with emotional precision.
RED is a bold new voice in pop and dance music, blending infectious beats with emotionally charged song writing. She channels her lived experience into music that's unapologetically queer, fiercly honest and designed to move both hearts and bodies.
Moxie Dolls is an all-girl, punk/alt-rock band based in Bristol. Formed around the need to advocate for feminist change within the music industry, they’re confronting it head on and not afraid to take up space. Known for their heavy riffs, hook-driven songs and explosive live energy, they’re unapologetically loud and leave a lasting impression.
