Light- fusing arts and science
Light- fusing arts and science
2015 is the UNESCO International Year of Light and we are preparing a Sci/Art showcase day Sci/Art to celebrate.
There will be a light lab of workshops to play with ideas behind the physics of light and how they can be used in dance and other arts.
We are also hosting an exhibition where artists and scientists from academia and industry can show off some of their great light-inspired work.
The day will culminate in a show by several dance companies, including SWDT, performing light inspired repertoire. See the movie at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3GALsWsE4g for an idea of what dance inspiredby the physics of light might look like.
