One Year On
One Year On present an evening of live music to commemorate, raise awareness and educate people of the situation in Gaza One Year On from the Israeli insurgence. This is the culmination of a weekend of events to raise funds for medical aid for Palestinians who still live in the rubble of the destruction caused by the assault by Israeli forces in July and August 2014. The evening features three amazing dance acts:
Headline Act is Banco de Gaia: Mercury nominated electronic dance act with full band playing their only Bristol gig of the year.
Support comes from Bristol legend Rob Smith (Smith and Mighty) and Pete Josef talented producer/ songwriter who has worked with Darren Emerson/ Roni Size/Kelis and is joined by the Size/ Reprazent rhythm team.
The Festival proceeds will go to Medical Aid in Palestine (MAP). MAP is a locally based charity that works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees.
