A founding member of Ezra Collective and one of the defining figures of the contemporary UK jazz scene, Joe Armon-Jones has built an acclaimed career as a keyboardist, composer and producer, while Maxwell Owin has become renowned for his bass-heavy productions and club-focused approach. Together, they have collaborated with artists including Greentea Peng, Nubya Garcia, Oscar Jerome and Moses Boyd, continually pushing the boundaries between live musicianship and electronic music.

Expect virtuosic keys, heavyweight rhythms, deep improvisation and a journey through the rich musical currents that connect jazz, dub, soul and soundsystem culture. Revisiting Idiom alongside music from across their decade-long partnership, this is a rare chance to experience two artists whose friendship and creative connection continue to shape the sound of modern British music.

Trinity Presents - Celebrating 50 Years of Music

This event is part of Trinity Presents, our in-house series that bring outstanding performers and exciting new voices to communities at the heart of the city.

The trio first came together at Berklee College of Music, bonding over a shared love of singer-songwriters and emotive lyricism. After building an audience through viral covers, they released their debut EP tiny things followed by their 2024 album All For Something, produced by Phoebe Bridgers collaborator Tony Berg.

Their distinctive blend of confessional songwriting and beautifully layered vocals has earned praise from Elton John, Kacey Musgraves, Marcus Mumford and the late David Crosby, alongside tours with James Taylor, Gracie Abrams and Noah Kahan.

Now entering a new chapter, Tiny Habits return with their sophomore album Keepers, released in August 2026. Expanding beyond their folk roots, the record explores friendship, love, identity and the ever-changing dynamics between the three members, bringing together handcrafted instrumentation, expansive production and the harmonies that first put them on the map.

With a growing reputation as one of modern folk’s most exciting new voices, Tiny Habits bring Keepers to Trinity.

Under the Quantic banner, Will Holland’s endeavours as a songwriter, musician, producer and sound engineer run deep. From focused solo productions and intimate collaborations to expansive ensemble projects, his reputation is forged on how he engages with local scenes and cultures around the world. Across his 20-years-deep discography it might be honey-coated synths or the natural lilt of live instrumentation that catch your ear, maybe even the arresting performance of a vocalist, but whatever the style on any given record, the Quantic stamp stands for soul-enriching sounds.

Support from Ruby Savage, a DJ, culture curator and vibes engineer, who will be bringing her own bag of warm eclectic grooves.

Joe Yorke, Bristol-based singer, songwriter and composer whose music draws from across the full spectrum of reggae culture, blending roots, rocksteady, dub and soul with post-punk, new wave and Northern Soul influences. Originally from the North West of England, Yorke first fell in love with music through punk, folk and reggae before immersing himself in Manchester’s soundsystem scene.

Over the past decade, he has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most distinctive reggae voices, releasing a string of acclaimed albums and collaborating with artists including Stand High Patrol, L’Entourloop, O.B.F and Gentleman’s Dub Club. His music has found devoted audiences on dancefloors, festival stages and soundsystems across the world.

Never confined by genre, Yorke’s songwriting continues to evolve. His latest album, Shallow Fantasies, channels a distinctly British sound, weaving together echoes of 1960s pop, Manchester’s post-punk legacy and shadowy guitar-driven atmospheres into a rich and deeply personal collection of songs.

Why give blood?
The blood you give is a lifeline in an emergency and for people who need long-term treatments.

Why do the NHS need you to give blood?
The NHS need new blood donors from all backgrounds to ensure there is the right blood available for patients who need it.

The NHS need:

• 4,300 blood donations every day on average to meet the needs of our hospitals
• over 140,000 people to donate blood for the first time this year
• 12,000 new Black heritage donors, to meet the growing demand for ethnically matched blood for sickle cell patients who need regular transfusions to stay alive
• more young people aged 17-35 to donate, to ensure we have enough blood for the future

You can sign up to be a donor if you:

• Are able to attend appointments in England
• Pass the eligibility check on the sign up page

Connect with the body through poetic anatomy and guided improvisation, practice contemporary dance technique, and explore performance exercises to refine the art of attention and presence. The classes will be facilitated by Anastasia Dal, a local dance and performance artist -- you can check out her work at dance classes in Bristol — Anastasia Dahl

The classes are rest friendly. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water and a notebook.

Raised between Strangford Lough and East Belfast, Joshua’s music explores family, trauma, grief and renewal, combining raw, intimate songwriting with a distinctive experimental sound.

His latest album, It’s Not Going To Be Okay, was released in 2026 and explores grief and recovery following the death of his close friend Dean Jendoubi. The album has received strong press and radio support, including BBC 6 Music playlisting.

This follows 2025’s critically acclaimed Teeth of Time, named one of BBC 6 Music’s Albums of the Year and nominated for multiple awards, including the NI Music Prize for Best Album and RTÉ Choice Irish Album of the Year.

Easton Social Dancing are raising money for local LGBTQ refugee support group Pride Without Borders. Come watch performances of different kinds of partner dance routines complete with costumes, flips, lifts and dips. There will be West Coast Swing, Salsa, Fusion, Cha Cha, a bit from the Inbetweeners and more! Family friendly fun. Everyone welcome.
